Langport Arms Hotel, Sunday 16th. 10.00 for 11.00 depart.

A successful run today,(although some got a little wet on the way, the run remained dry,at the end we had sunshine and 10°c).
16 bikes took part today (17 signed in) ranging from a 1939 Royal Enfield 350cc to a 1994 Honda NTV 650cc,and a BMW outfit.
We also welcomed Andre Bates, 1976 Triumph Bonneville T140V, as a non member ,(hopefully you will join us again Andre), and Andy Hart from East Devon section on a very rare 1971 BSA Bantam Bushman.
The run this year was out to Castle Cary, thru North and South Cadbury to Mudford, then back to Langport via Limmington, Yeovilton and Long Sutton.Although the A and B roads were reasonably clean and dry ,the lanes between South Cadbury and Marston Magna were very muddy indeed,a hose ,bucket and sponge will be the order of the day to clean grubby machines.I drove the recovery vehicle today, which fortunately was not needed, although a couple of machines were a little reluctant to get going this morning, all made it round and back with no further issues.
16 of us sat down to a lovely carvery lunch at the Langport Arms Hotel, thank you to our hosts Debbie and her team who took such good care of us today.
My thanks to all who attended today’s run and Lunch, £54 was raised for the Somerest and Dorset Air Ambulance.
James Ward.
(Surely also thanks to James for organising, and doing the boring driving, and to James and Dave A. for the photos!)
