Autumn Leaves run (October 2023)
New Manor Farm Shop 10:30am – beautiful weather, blue skies and very warm sunshine, it could almost be midsummer!
And a big and varied turnout in the car park, with quite a few turning up to enjoy a bit of sunny socialising.
The run – a figure of eight up into the Mendips (via East Harptree, with views back over Chew Valley), across and down Cheddar Gorge (which was rather busy with tourist traffic), out to Wedmore and a loop out across the droves of the Levels (via Godney and Bleadney), then climbing up past Deer Leap (more views) to cross the Mendips again, to come down into Blagdon and back to New Manor Farm Shop to enjoy tea/coffee/cake or lunch in the sunshine.
Some 40 miles in all.
