All Day Breakfast Run (May 2024)
Spaxton Village Hall, 08:00, Sunday 26th. A sunny start to the day, although very wet roads in places!
An extremely enjoyable outing, starting with an excellent breakfast and followed by a run with variety of fast “A” roads, ‘interesting’ minor roads and out-of-the-way back lanes. Two coastal toll roads (except for some rebels who fancied going up Porlock hill), fantastic scenery – packing in Lorna Doone Valley and the Valley of the Rocks, two shiny steam trains, some sunshine and some mud and puddles!
Finished off with tea, coffe, cake and good company.
Many thanks to Phil for organising and for rescue duties for the two breakdowns, and to the chefs, waiters and cake-bakers who contributed to a great day out.
