Sunday 8th June, 10:30 for 11:00 at Sweets Tea Rooms, Westhay.
On a dry and sunny day (if not the warmest) 8 signed on for a 67 mile route that proved to be somewhat challenging.
The little red ‘Famous James’ made it to the start then expired with a dead coil. Along the way, a puncture turned out to be a defective inner tube that was irreparable, resulting in a fellow rider bailing out on a ‘thunderbird’ mission.(Thanks to Jerry for providing van aid.) Conclusion, rather reduced numbers at the finish despite very pleasant sunshine and convivial surroundings!
